All our coffee is fresh-roasted here at the Quartz St. Roastery in a visually stunning green and brass 25 lb. "San Fransican" roaster. This allows us to slow-roast each coffee, bringing out it's very best qualities. Those of you that have been with us since the beginning will notice the resemblance to our first roaster, a 6lb. San Franciscan, baby brother to our new one. Orders are packaged within 24 hours of roasting, to maintain the optimum freshness and to ensure you get the very best, 100% Arabica coffee you can buy! Yup, we admit we're fanatics, but would you trust your morning ritual to anyone else? As often as possible, we purchase Fairly Traded coffees. We do absorb the additional green cost but feel it is important to have some measure for the consumer to identify that they have made a conscious choice to support Fair Trade. The additional amount is a portion of licensing and extra packaging costs.
